I believe that "global warming" is real and that it presents an enormous challenge to global agriculture in general and to the beef industry in particular. Consequently it is my intention to breed the kind of cattle that can continue to thrive in increasingly hot and parasitic conditions whilst maintaining standards of excellence in eating quality and productivity. For now, that means that I intend to build up a herd of Brangus cattle which have outstanding credentials in this context and whose genetics are readily available. For the future, I will be looking very closely at Senepol and Senepol infused cattle because these new genetics seem to have the potential to meet my criteria even better than Brangus do.
In the list of links you will find references to some web sites that I have found interesting and to a pair of Whine Not blogs devoted to my Brangus and Senepol cattle.
