More of Nature's pleasures

While the rest of Australia was in the grip of "the race that stops the nation", there was excitement of a different sort at "Whine Not" when this little wanderer decided to pay a visit to my back patio.

Regretably it was suffering from Chlamydia so I called the vet to ask if there was any practical way that it could be helped. A phone call to Christine at "Koalas in Care" brought a quick response from Paul who captured the koala and took it away for veterinary attention. Hopefully it will be well again soon and will then be returned to the "Whine Not" neighbourhood for release.

The right eye can clearly be seen to be suffering from the effects of Chlamydia.
Notwithstanding the sad fact that the animal was diseased, I enjoyed the visit enormously.
